Classroom Problem
Metrable started when a teacher decided that tracking standards compliance shouldn't require spreadsheets, guesswork, or late nights.
As a high school architecture and robotics teacher, I was responsible for multiple courses, each with its own set of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). I cared deeply about the quality of my instruction, but when standards compliance became a major focus, I realized there was no clear or efficient way to confirm that my curriculum actually covered everything it was supposed to.
Between lesson plans, projects, assessments, and pacing guides, keeping track of TEKS across multiple class periods quickly became overwhelming. Manual checks were slow and inconsistent. Spreadsheets were incomplete. And most tools on the market were not built for how teachers actually work.

Building Something Better
The first version of Metrable was a simple tool that scanned instructional materials and highlighted which standards were covered and which were missing. With an easy upload process, it turned hours of manual review into clear, usable reports that made gaps immediately visible.
When administrators saw it in action, their questions pushed the idea further:
